Alpha Charity League
Alpha Charity League is dedicated to developing young men into leaders with a heart to serve others. ACL has been supporting SpringSpirit Baseball through volunteers and fundraising efforts for several years and is instrumental in running our summer programs.
Baseball USA exists to develop the mind, body and spirit of the youth in our community by cultivating relationships through the game of baseball. Baseball USA has been an integral partner through clinics and financial support of SSB programs including summer camps and the annual Christmas Party.
Boys and Girls Club of Greater Houston
It is the mission of the Boys and Girls Clubs of America to inspire and enable all young people to realize their full potential as productive, responsible, and caring citizens. Before the SpringSpirit Baseball fields were built, the local Boys and Girls club provided a space for SSB programs to start. Since building the fields, the Boys and Girls Club has continued to offer indoor facilities, sports programs and training grounds for staff functions.
The Branch, a worship community of Chapelwood UMC, exists to share and celebrate the hope of God with Hispanic people in Houston. Our hope is that many of our SpringSpirit Baseball families would find their church home at The Branch.
Cal Ripken, Sr. Foundation
The Cal Ripken, Sr. Foundation helps to build character and teach critical life lessons to disadvantaged young people living in America’s most distressed communities through baseball- and softball-themed programs. From the design of the fields to the nature of our comprehensive, all-encompassing programming, the CRSF has had a lasting impact on the success of SSB.
Camp Ozark is a Christian sports and adventure camp for kids ages 7-17. For years, the Camp Ozark Foundation has invited SpringSpirit Baseball members to attend a week of camp for free.
Chapelwood United Methodist Church
Located in the heart of Memorial, Chapelwood United Methodist Church is on a mission to embody God’s grace as it is received and to give to those who need it. Chapelwood donated the land on which SpringSpirit Baseball was built and has continued to serve the north spring branch community through it’s Hispanic worship community, The Branch.
Cornerstone Family Ministries
The mission at Cornerstone is to build relationships with local at-risk youth and their families through Christ-centered programs designed to help them realize God’s purpose for their lives. Just a few miles away from SpringSpirit Baseball, Cornerstone has regularly assisted with transportation and participated in SSB camp programming.
The Faith Center, a ministry of Houston’s First Baptist Church, serves thousands of people every month to meet their needs physically and spiritually. The Faith Center and SpringSpirit Baseball have come together regularly to offer north Spring Branch students to opportunity to participate in sports clinics as well as spring break and summer camps.
The Kids Reading Room
The Kids Reading room is set up in apartment communities in the Spring Branch area to provide an encouraging and safe place for children to read at right in their own backyard. Our mission to promote literacy and instill the love of reading in children. Volunteers encourage reading and build literacy skills by reading to and with students. SpringSpirit Baseball’s new community center now has a Reading Room with hundreds of book for kids to read.
Northbrook High School
Many of the youth participating in SpringSpirit Baseball’s programs will attend Northbrook High School. Northbrook High School’s partnership with SpringSpirit Baseball allows high performing high school students to volunteer and work with the participants. Northbrook students are the main source of volunteers for SpringSpirit Baseball’s After School Educational and Sports Program.
Second Baptist Church hosted 100 SpringSpirit community members for Angels of Light, a city-wide event that blesses families with sacks of groceries and the kids with new, wrapped toys. The Second Baptist School baseball team has also put on baseball clinics at our fields and has performed other community service including helping keep our fields clean. SpringSpirit was chosen as a local ministry to be supported by Second Baptist during “Missions Month.”
Spring Branch Independent School District
Spring Branch Independent School District has been an essential part of the SpringSpirit program. With many of SSB’s goals focusing on students within SBISD, the district has graciously shared access, transportation, after school programming and other resources as we strive together to make Spring Branch the best in Texas.
The Stoller Foundation
The Stoller Foundation strives to be HIS witness “in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
Villa Del Sol Apartments
Located just down the street from the SpringSpirit Baseball fields, Villa Del Sol is a place many of our members call home. The complex has also generously opened its doors to provide both office and living space for some of our full time staff.
